OBJECTIVES

1.Create, develop and stimulate interest in music, addressing whenever possible different areas to which music is associated;

2. Stimulate creativity, collectivity, participation with responsibility to awaken a differentiated look towards new horizons;

3. Use free time for individual and collective development

4. Offer children and adolescents equal access to knowledge within the principles of justice and equality;

5. Help others to progress,  grow, and emancipate themselves throughout life;

6. Fight against oppression and indifference towards oneself, prejudice and fear for social inclusion and coexistence;

7. Contribute with education to form more integral beings for a more solidary and fraternal society;

8. Contribute to formal education in schools;

9. Encourage solidarity and involvement in community service;

10. Promote the development of musical culture and cultural integration;

11. Socialize young people in conflict with family, school and society;

12. Promote the democratization of access to knowledge and new technologies;

13. Provide children with new spaces for leisure and education;

14. Generate new evolution and professionalization alternatives;

15. Offer every citizen the means to know and defend their rights, the desire to express their convictions, to debate and choose through democratic participation.

Leisure time

Provide leisure time for the musicians of the Orquestra Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra, main result of the project ‘Vamos Fazer Arte’ in Brazil, that receives the support of a bus company called Expresso Guanabara. Whenever possible, during the tours of the Project Caminhos Musicais da Expresso Guanabara’, the company offers leisure time to Beach Park in Aquiraz-CE, Verdes Vales in Juazeiro do Norte-CE, Hotel and Balneário Caldas in Barbalha-CE, among others. These teenagers are dedicated and committed throughout the year in studying and learning music. And it is possible to take a good song to the audience thanks to their excellent performance.

Closing Remarks

Free time should offer the individual new ways and alternatives for knowledge, socialization and evolution. Each one must be able to become an actor in his own life; a happy individual, curious, open to the world, sensitive to cultural diversity, attentive to social causes and able to choose to be involved in the construction of a fair and democratic world. This is the accompaniment that the project Vamos Fazer Arte proposes.
