Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra in the biggest São João of the world - Parque Do Povo - Campina Grande, state of Paraíba.

Based on the actions of the Ponto de Cultura Vamos Fazer, the Orquestra Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra, in the city of Croatá, in Serra da Ibiapaba, distant from 350km of Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazilwas founded in 2009. It is composed of 44 children and adolescents aged 10 to 22 years, mostly students from the municipal and state public education system. With an eclectic repertoire of typical music from the repertoire of popular national and international bands, the orchestra has enchanted everyone wherever it goes, standing out in the instrumental music scene as one of the best in the state of Ceará.

In the year following its foundation (2010), OFES (as it is known) appeared in the Ceará music scene in presentations at the BNB Training Center and at the ‘Banco do Nordeste do Brasil’ no ‘Centro Cultural do Banco do Nordeste’ at the IV BNB Festival das Artes Cênicas, even appearing in the written media, televised and on the internet. The ascension took place in a surprising way, presenting itself in important events such as:

• IX Bienal Internacional do Livro do Ceará realizada no Centro de Convenções;
• Assembleia Legislativa do Ceará em sessão especial de premiação dos melhores programas de assistência social do estado;
• Centro Dragão do Mar de Arte e Cultura no encerramento da turnê 2011 do projeto Caminhos Musicais da Guanabara;
• Palácio da Abolição pelo projeto Férias no Ceará no evento Concertos Natalinos;
• Centro de Convenções de Sobral no IX Encontro dos Historiadores da Educação;
• Teatro São João de Sobral nas comemorações dos 130 anos;
• Seminário Internacional dos 7 saberes da Educação no Hotel Praia Centro;
• Prêmio Contribuintes do governo do Piauí no Atlantic City em Teresina;
• SEBRAE/CE no evento Marcha Municipalista;
• 2 vezes na SEDUC/CE no programa PAIC;
• Turnês 2010, 2011 e 2012 do projeto Caminhos Musicais da Guanabara que iniciou pelas cidades da Serra da Ibiapaba em 2010 e em 2011 por outras cidades do Ceará e Nordeste, dentre elas as importantes cidades de Crato, Juazeiro e Sobral no Ceará, Parnaíba e Teresina (PI), Patos (PB) e Mossoró (RN) onde foi gravado o 2º DVD.

• International Seminar ‘7 saberes da Educação’ at the Hotel Praia Centro;
• Prêmio Contribuintes of Piauí Government, in Atlantic City in Teresina;
• SEBRAE/CE at the event Marcha Municipalista;
• Two times at SEDUC/CE in the PAIC program;
• Tours 2010, 2011 and 2012 of Project Caminhos Musicais da Guanabara, which started in the cities of Serra da Ibiapaba, Ceará in 2010 and in 2011. Tours in other cities in Ceará and Northeast, among them the important cities of Crato, Juazeiro and Sobral in Ceará, Parnaíba and Teresina (PI), Patos (PB) and Mossoró (RN) where the 2nd DVD was recorded.

The Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra is now recognized as one of the best in Ceará. It participated in the Project Férias no Ceará of Government of Ceará, which opened concerts by the famous pianist Arthur Moreira Lima in several cities in Ceará in 2011.It performed alongside the singer Waldonys in 2015 in Fortaleza-CE. The Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra had the honor of being conducted by Maestro João Carlos Martins at the Centro de Tradições Nordestinas  in São Paulo-SP. Nowadays, Ponto de Cultura Vamos Fazer has the support of the Federal Government through the Ministério da Cultura of Brazil, the Government of Ceará through the Secretariade Cultura of Ceará, Plataforma Sinfonia do Amanhã, ENEL and Expresso Guanabara. The Filarmônica Estrelas da Serra performs its actions with good results of a work done with a lot of love and dedication.
